Today’s family philanthropists are facing a new range of issues regarding their giving. How do family philanthropists engage the next generation? How do they ensure that the vision and values of the family's giving are maintained in years to come? What strategies are needed to achieve the most effective family philanthropy? Who are the “Young Philanthropists” and how will they shape the sector?
Amy Hirsh Robinson, Founder and Principal, Interchange Group and Lisa Parker, Founder and Principal, Family Circle Advisors as well as President and Executive Director, Lawrence Welk Family Foundation, will lead morning presentations on how generational dynamics shape the values, vision and future of family philanthropy.
Robinson and Parker will also engage participants in an interactive discussion on barriers and breakthroughs in multi-generational philanthropy and explore ways to effectively bridge divides for more effective dialogue, engagement and giving. This session will be followed by facilitated small group discussions exploring a range of critical issues of special interest to family philanthropists.
The afternoon panel will be moderated by National Center for Family Philanthropy (NCFP) Vice President Susan Price and include NCFP board members. The panel will explore some of the pressing issues related to succession planning, including preparation of successors and the evolving roles of new and future generations of philanthropists.
Attendees will also have opportunities to meet, learn and network with their colleagues.
