Holiday Event

To celebrate the holiday season, Southern California Grantmakers invites you to participate in our day of service at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank provides food for nearly 900 member agency sites, including abused and abandoned children’s homes, battered women shelters, senior centers, local food pantries, soup kitchens, AIDS hospices and more. This year marks the Food Bank's 38th year serving at-need residents of Los Angeles County.

Join your SCG colleagues in participating in the Food Bank’s Holiday Food Drive Sort-A-Thon. During this half-day activity, SCG volunteers will inspect, sort, label and package donated food that will be distributed to communities in need this holiday season.

SCG recognizes that the holidays provide a welcome opportunity to connect with one another in meaningful ways. We look forward to your participation and engagement with a community of grantmakers helping at this year’s Holiday Food Drive Sort-A-Thon.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is located off Interstate 10, southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged. Limited street parking around the facility is also available.
