Join us in Atlanta for the 2022 International Conference - the largest gathering of children and nature advocates in the world. From inspiring keynotes to hands-on workshops, our annual conference will inspire and equip you with ideas, proven strategies and opportunities to network with peers making real progress in increasing equitable access to nature in their communities.

Funders are encouraged to provide Inside-Out International Conference scholarships to enable their grantees and partners to attend and benefit from networking and professional development opportunities.
COVID-19 Update as of 4.5.22
The Children & Nature Network looks forward to hosting the Inside-Out Conference, in person, at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency on Monday, May 9 -12. We value the partnership of attendees in helping to keep our global community of children and nature advocates safe and healthy. We have established the following policies for all conference attendees, speakers, and staff:
All attendees must check in at the “Health Check” table BEFORE moving to registration to receive conference credentials. A nurse will screen all attendees for proof of full COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative PCR test within 48 hours of arrival. Once passing through the health check, attendees will move on to the conference check-in table.
Attendees who arrive without proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be tested by our on-site nurse, at their own expense (check with your health insurance company about reimbursement). Results will be available in approximately 6 hours, at which point you may begin attending in-person conference events if your results are negative.
Attendees, speakers, and staff are asked to join us in our Health Pledge (below) while attending the conference and associated events.
All conference attendees, speakers, and staff must wear N-95, KF-94 or KN-95 face masks; cloth or paper masks will not be allowed. (Approved masks will be available on-site.)
All conference attendees must be fully masked (nose and mouth covered) when indoors. Speakers may choose to remove their masks while presenting. Attendees may remove their masks while eating or drinking.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the Hyatt; liberal use is encouraged!
Recognizing that the COVID-19 landscape is changing rapidly, these policies are subject to change. Registered attendees will be notified of changes by email. Children & Nature Network will continue to monitor CDC, State, and local health recommendations.
Health Pledge
As an attendee of the Inside-Out Conference and associated events, I will ensure the health and safety of fellow attendees by following Children & Nature Network’s COVID-19 policies and mitigation measures.
I will wear a mask properly when required, covering both my nose and mouth.
If I feel unwell or have symptoms consistent with possible COVID-19 infection, I will check in with the on-site nurse, who can administer a rapid COVID-19 test to me at no cost.
I will not travel to Atlanta to attend the conference if I have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and have not met CDC’s guidelines for discontinuing isolation.*
If I test positive for COVID-19 while at the conference, I agree to self-isolate in my hotel room. The Children & Nature Network will help to accommodate isolation, delivering conference meals to your room and making a virtual option available, as well as providing a partial refund of conference registration fees.
NOTE: We will offer opportunities for virtual participation during the conference.
