Issue-Based
December is an important planning and budgeting season for many foundations, heightened this year by additional planning in response to the 2024 elections. Many funders have identified key priorities and allocated funds in support of issues including public health, the social safety net and social services, reproductive rights, and more. Join us for this funder-only discussion, which will occur exactly six weeks after the election, to hear how key health philanthropists think about potential impacts, challenges, and opportunities. During this virtual convening, we'll create a platform for funders to share their reactions and discuss how funding institutions across Southern California are strategizing to protect health and social safety net programs, particularly in at-risk communities. We'll also ask attendees to share their questions and updates on their work to help enhance collaboration and communication across the sector. SCG will not record this program to enable more candid peer-to-peer conversations among attendees.
Please note: SCG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. Attendees may hear comments from speakers or see links shared during the webinar that do not necessarily represent the opinions of SCG.
2024 Quarterly Programming
The SCG Health Funders Group convenes multiple times a year to explore emerging issues in healthcare and health policy through an intersectional approach. The group hosts topic-based and peer-to-peer learning sessions. These facilitated sessions will provide a forum for updates on critical issues, highlights of promising programs and opportunities for collaboration.
