Starting January 1, 2024, Medi-Cal eligibility will expand to income-eligible Californians ages 26-49, regardless of immigration status. Centering and drawing on the profound experience of immigrant-led and immigrant-serving organizations, the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) conducted interviews capturing the learnings from previous expansions on how to best reach, educate, and enroll eligible undocumented Californians. The California Health Care Foundation and The California Endowment invite you to a virtual briefing to hear from CIPC on its findings, which include a landscape analysis of the organizations that exist in California to reach immigrant communities, a gap analysis of organizational needs and suggested strategies to maximize efforts in California to reach and enroll the estimated 700,000 undocumented Californians that are expected to be eligible for full-scope Medi-Cal coverage in 2024. The presentation will be followed by a conversation to hear about and share efforts underway and potential opportunities for philanthropy to collaborate towards successfully implementing the largest Medi-Cal expansion since the Affordable Care Act. Join us for this briefing on August 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM to learn more.
