A Creative Jobs Collective Impact Initiative (CJCII) World Café convening on September 8th from 10am-4pm. This day is your opportunity to help the CJCII Steering Committee develop a set of actions to present to the LA County Board on how to achieve its goals of– 10,000 entry level, living wage, creative sector job placements for BIPOC workers. To frame the conversation, we will start the day with presentations on 3 topics –
- CVL Economics’ research on creative sector jobs, living wage, and demographics of entry level workers in LA County
- A panel of “Lived Experience” workers who have confronted the barriers this initiative aims to address
- A presentation of the Entertainment Equity Alliance’s mission and collaborative efforts
Venue NAVEL 1611 S. Hope Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
Event capacity is 150. RSVP, Invite only.
What 3 solutions will we be discussing?
We will then delve into potential solutions to initiative questions including:
(1) Pathways and barriers to landing creative sector jobs
(2) Needs of Workers and how to Sustain Jobs Once People are Hired
(3) Dreaming and reimagining the system of workforce development and access
