Join us on Wednesday, June 8th, 1:00-2:00pm Eastern (10:00-11:00am Pacific) to learn about a new initiative, the Thriving Providers Project, spearheaded by Home Grown in partnership with community-based organizations, funders and governments across the country to stabilize the economic well-being of home-based child care providers.
Drawing on learning from guaranteed income initiatives and best practices in early childhood education, this project seeks to support and stabilize providers and caregivers in order to improve the availability and quality of care for children and families. The Thriving Providers Project seeks to demonstrate the impact of direct cash to reform child care payment policies and influence future decisions around compensation for home-based child care providers.
In this conversation, we will hear from program designers, community members and funders about why prioritizing home-based child care is essential to building an equitable early learning field, how direct cash strategies can stabilize the economic well-being of providers and how learning from this project can influence policy and systems change. You can also learn how to get involved and stay connected for Project updates.
