A group of researchers and constituent partners with lived experience will present the background and vision of the 21st Century Research Agenda, a national effort sponsored by Casey Family Programs, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and the William T. Grant Foundation to (1) form a broad-based coalition of research partners to identify research gaps to support child and family well-being; (2) articulate clear research questions that need to be addressed that are relevant to jurisdiction leaders and policy-makers; (3) identify and implement strategies to conduct research that will close the gaps; (4) help agencies use findings to improve policy program and practice strategies.
In addition to covering the top gaps identified, this presentation is also an opportunity for partner organizations to learn and provide feedback about the critical research gaps in this intersectional field, as many of the gaps coincide with the fields of behavioral health, education, healthcare, housing, and juvenile justice.
