About the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission
The primary purposes of the Commission are to: promote the development of programs and funding resources; advocate for legislation and policy; work with existing federal, state, and local agencies; foster pride in and awareness of Native American cultures among Americans; and work with the Native American community to develop recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, the Mayor, and City Council.
