The 2021-22 state budget includes more than $100 million in one-time funding for the California Arts Council, California’s state arts agency. The increase, approved with bipartisan support by the Legislature, calls for significant added investment in arts and culture, including implementation of the California Creative Corps Pilot and more support for the agency’s existing youth programs. Join LA Arts Funders for a virtual discussion with Anne Bown-Crawford, Executive Director of the California Arts Council, to learn about this historic investment in the arts and explore opportunities for philanthropy to play a role. The agenda will also reserve time for the group to exchange updates and help requests, hear from the LA Arts Funders Working Group, and look ahead to 2022.
