What does it mean for institutions and organizations to honor Juneteenth?
At SCG, we are reflecting on radical rest by hosting a day of healing led by Black healers for Black people. This community gathering will feature:
- A ‘Healing Through Movement Workshop’ by multi-faceted artist and healer Tatiana Zamir
- A Panel Discussion on ‘Freedom to Create a Life Worthy of You’ by Black healer collective The Sugar Heal Gang
- Time for rest, restoration, and community at Black-woman-owned healing space The Heart Department LA
We invite Black philanthropy staff and community members to receive and engage in a day of radical rest and embodied healing for mind, body, and spirit. Childcare will be provided.
The majority of tickets will be reserved for Black folks as part of our commitment to honoring Juneteenth as a time for healing and radical rest for Black people.
