As we share this invitation to come together, we are keenly aware of the heartbreaking impact of the current fires on so many in our lives. We sincerely hope you are staying safe and healthy, and our hearts go out to those who’ve been evacuated or, worse, lost their home in the fires.
Moving forward, we invite you to mark your calendar for a time-sensitive LA Partnership briefing on one of LA County's most vulnerable populations: young children and their families. "Protecting Potential: Strengthening LA County's Families in Uncertain Times will be held at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center on Wednesday, February 12th, from 8:30 a.m. (breakfast) to 10:00 a.m. (244 San Pedro Street, Los Angeles).
This briefing will address the rapidly evolving challenges facing children, families, and providers while spotlighting how leaders across California and Los Angeles County—spanning sectors such as education and mental health—are proactively preparing to provide critical support. It will also offer insights into the outlook and potential impact of the 2025-26 state budget and explore the roles that newly elected leaders, locally and in Sacramento, might play in shaping solutions and advancing progress.
Our goal is to engage LA County’s elected, nonprofit, and foundation leaders in conversation regarding actionable information and steps to strengthen our community and maintain the open, diverse, and supportive society that helps every individual thrive.
More information on our invited speakers will follow.
We hope you will join us for this essential conversation.
