Smart Growth California is excited to announce the kickoff meeting for the Rural Urban Interface Learning Group (name not yet official). If your work focuses on or impacts communities in the rural-urban interface, we invite you to meet with us and other funders virtually on August 8th from 2:00 – 3:30 PM.
At this meeting, we’ll provide a space for funders to refine the purpose and structure for this group and begin our learning journey together. We’ll discuss The Best Wildfire Solution We’re Not Using: Three ways to curb the sprawl that traps us on a wildfire treadmill, engaging in a conversation with the author of this article, Kate Anderson from the Sightline Institute and Steve Frisch from the Sierra Business Council.
