SCG is pleased to invite you to our latest Family Philanthropy eXchange dialogue, our new event series where Jan Kern (SCG's Senior Advisor, Family Philanthropy) holds candid conversations with the family philanthropists changing our sector's landscape through new ideas, approaches, and relationships.
This spring, we are thrilled to welcome Tegan Acton, founder of Acton Family Giving! Although not new to the world of philanthropy, Tegan is a relatively new funder who only established Acton Family Giving in 2014 following the sale of WhatsApp to Meta, formerly known as Facebook. Jan and Tegan will explore several timely issues for family foundation leaders, including how funders can balance family values and the inherent power dynamics between donors and grantees. Tegan will also discuss how Acton Family Giving is leveraging empathy to foster stronger and more authentic relationships with the communities that they serve.
We hope you join us this spring for the next Family Philanthropy eXchange!
