This month we will be hearing from Dr. Danny Perkins and Bill Lockwood, Senior Program Officer of the May and Stanley Smith Charitable Foundation about the Veteran Metrics Study: Linking Program Components to Post-Military Well-Being (TVMI). The TVMI study was the most comprehensive study in recent years examining the well-being of transitioning veterans. With the up and coming SoCal Veteran Study, this will be a great opportunity to hear how funders can lead a strategic role in driving data and resources to leverage public funding to areas of need. The TVMI study, like the first State of the American Veteran Study in LA, has played a key role in driving federal and state resources to support Veteran needs. It will be a very interesting and informative event with lots of opportunities to learn what they learned, ask questions and maybe get some new ideas on how to advance our work.
