Our next member meeting is around the corner! Mark your calendars on June 14th, 2023 to join us for a transparent conversation with your funder peers at the Riverside Convention Center hosted within the annual National Innovative Communities Conference (NICC).
In our second learning meeting of 2023, we will come together to hear and understand the experiences of our nonprofit partners in relation to the trust and safety felt within funder relationships. From this, we will reflect on our individual and organizational practices, discuss how we can create trust-based spaces for honest conversation, and identify actionable steps we can each take to center belonging in our partnerships.
By participating in this meeting, you will:
- Understand the perspectives and experiences of our nonprofit partners as it relates to the degree of trust and safety they feel within funder relationships.
- Reflect on our individual and organizational practices that contribute to or hinder trust-based relationships with nonprofit partners.
- Identify actionable steps that you can take to address the feedback received from nonprofit partners and move towards more trust-based relationships.
- Discuss the challenges that funders face when trying to implement more trust-based practices and how these obstacles can be overcome or accommodated.
Following the member meeting there will be a Q&A session for nonprofit members to ask funders any questions they would like! If you are interested in participating on the panel as a funder, please reach out to Diana Fox or Margarita Luna via their organization emails.
Important note: Attendance at the IEFA meeting does not include a registration for the remainder of the NICC conference. We encourage you to also register and attend the full conference June 13 &14!
We also strongly recommend attending in person to fully take advantage of the relational benefits this event and NICC provides. However, if you are unable to do so, a Zoom link will also be available.
