Every winter, SCG convenes our family philanthropy community for Traditions of Giving, an opportunity to reflect on the year's lessons, listen to emerging voices moving our work forward, and consider our new priorities for the year ahead.
This year, Traditions of Giving will look deeper at a thread that arose during our Annual Family Philanthropy Conference: the necessity of investing in human potential. Together, we will explore what supporting human potential looks like internally at our organizations and externally with our community partners. We will also outline the personal and professional investments we can make to strengthen the power and well-being of leaders moving our sector's work forward.
We invite you to join us for our virtual convening on November 2 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. We will hear from philanthropic leaders who believe in the power of supporting human potential and have found creative ways to do so. In conversation with Jan Kern (Senior Philanthropy Advisor, SoCal Grantmakers), Megan Johnston (Executive Director, Stryker Johnston Foundation) and Shirish Dayal (Executive Vice President, Tarsadia Foundation) will share how their foundations lift the voices, cultivate the skills, and enrich the well-being of boots-on-the-ground community leaders.
Zoom details will be sent prior to the program.
