CCF is currently on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office) through June 2022. Beginning July 2022, CCF will resume in-office work, five (5) days per week.

Position Summary:
The investments analyst is responsible for operational and analytical duties related to California Community Foundation’s (CCF) investments. The position allows for building a comprehensive understanding of multiple asset classes, portfolio administration, and investment accounting.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performance Reporting: Reconciles Endowment Pool general ledger balances to consultant balances, reconciles internally calculated performance to consultant performance calculation, investigates any differences. Uses reconciled performance data to prepare CCF’s monthly Endowment Pool Flash Reports. Additionally, prepares Flash Reports for CCF’s four other Investment pools.
- Separately Managed Accounts (ChAMPs): Monitors activities of investments, reports on performance, and communicates with financial advisors on any issues and inconsistencies. Monitors adherence to investment policy statements. Maintains database of financial advisors contact information.
- Investment Transactions: Works closely with consultant, custodian, and banking contacts to execute investment purchases and redemptions in accordance with direction from the investment committee. This includes preparation of directives and completion of subscription documents.
- Cash Analysis: Prepares cash flow projections and analysis of cash needs, including tracking of capital commitments and planned investments and redemptions.
- Audit: Prepares audit schedules for CCF’s year-end financial audit. Provides support in data collection and researching files and documents.
- Real Estate & Closely Held Stock: Performs annual valuation analyses, monitors financial performance, manages communication and gathering of information, and assists senior staff with administrative procedures related to liquidation opportunities.
- Special Projects: Participates in special projects in cooperation with the Investments Director, Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Updates sections of the Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Other Projects: Participates in other projects as requested, such as: investments presentations, liquidity reports, due diligence reports, fund manager meetings, etc.
Qualifications:

- Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in the field of finance required. Experience in a nonprofit, preferably in endowment management, is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent working experience.
- Communication Skills: Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills to external and internal constituents. Excellent listening skills and follow through. Professional attitude and demeanor to appropriately and professionally represent the organization with both internal and external customers.
- Technology Skills: Advanced knowledge and experience, and expert proficiency with computer software applications: MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint amongst others. Working knowledge of Blackbaud software preferred, with a willingness and ability to learn appropriate database, spreadsheet and other computer programs.
- Project Management Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lead and manage projects, prioritize work effectively and adjust to multiple demands. Regularly takes the initiative to recognize problems, and clearly explain potential solutions.
- Team Work & General Skills: Ability to work independently and successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Highly motivated, takes initiative, participates as an effective and engaged team member and follow tasks through to completion.
