Summer Moore is the Vice President of Operations at the California Community Foundation. Summer is responsible for strengthening the infrastructure and the day-to-day operations of the foundation to serve grantees, donors, corporate and foundation partners, and CCF stakeholders. Her areas of oversight include Information Technology, Public Grant Compliance, Grants Management, Development and Donor Operations. Her role includes CCF’s partnerships with government and building a business line to direct government funding streams and resources to LA nonprofits.
Summer started at the Foundation in 2001 as a Grants Coordinator for donor advised fund grantmaking, was appointed Accounting Manager in 2005 and Director of Continuous Improvement in 2010. Mostly recently Summer served as Director of Development and Donor Operations and was named Vice President of Operations in 2021.
Summer is a board member of CCF Community Initiatives Fund. With assets over $40 million, CCF Community Initiatives Fund provides fiscal sponsor and support services to select LA area projects. Summer also volunteers as a field data collector for the Friends of Griffith Park.
Before joining the Foundation, Summer served as a volunteer grant writer for Koo’s Art Café, a grassroots, all ages venue dedicated to promoting arts, music, culture and activism in Santa Ana and Orange County. Summer also worked at Family Assessment Counseling & Education Services, a nonprofit mental health counseling agency for children and parents in crisis.
Summer received her bachelor’s degree in Latin American & Latino Studies at University of California, Santa Cruz.
