Ron Milam has coordinated the Environmental Funders Peer Group at Southern California Grantmakers since 2016. Working with a group of SCG members who serve on a steering committee, Ron has planned a series of engaging, quarterly convenings to enhance funder knowledge, build relationships and explore collaboration. Ron also directs Smart Growth California, an initiative of the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities. Part of this work includes coordinating the Los Angeles Funders’ Collaborative, which has partnered with SCG on several convenings.
As an organization development practitioner, he's consulted for 150 organizations working to build healthy, equitable and sustainable communities since 1997. Ron is skilled at developing leadership, building stronger teams, improving organizational effectiveness and facilitating collaborative change. Ron holds a Masters of Organization Development program from Pepperdine University.
