The LA Partnership for Early Childhood Investment was founded in 2003 as a public-private partnership with a mission to serve as a catalyst for systems change in early childhood: to invest in and promote solutions, practices, funding and policies that advance the lifelong health, education and economic outcomes for LA County's most vulnerable children, age 0-5, and their families. We seek to coordinate the philanthropic community in Los Angeles County to focus resources on maximizing the way in which policies, programs, and services impact the county's youngest and most vulnerable children and their families. As the only public-private funders collaborative focused on children ages 0-5 in the county, we bring a unique perspective to identifying core policy issues impacting young children within the county and convening both public and private funders to address these issues. The Partnership's interest in the county's youngest and most vulnerable children enables us to focus resources on policies and programs that will have the greatest impact in improving the overall health and development of the most at-risk young children in our county.
