OneOC was founded originally in 1958 as Newport Bureau of Volunteerism and then became the Volunteer Center Orange County. In 2010, the organization rebranded to become OneOC, signaling our expanded services to nonprofits across the county OneOC holds a 60-year track record of encouraging people to become personally involved in making our community a good and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family.
Today, OneOC has grown and matured into the largest and most comprehensive of the 200+ volunteer centers nationwide, partnering with Points of Light Institute, HandsOn Network and California Volunteers. We offer Membership, Learning and Development, Consulting and Coaching, Volunteer Recruitment and Fiscal Sponsorship services. We help Orange County’s nonprofits become as effective and efficient as they are passionate about their missions. Our services are fully integrated, and strengthened through partnership with other local service providers. In 2015, OneOC launched the Center for Business & Community Partnerships, which helps companies build and grow their charitable giving and employee volunteering programs. Together, we work to accelerate the success of Orange County nonprofits, enabling them to reach their full potential.
