Tuly Martinez is part of the executive management team at SCG and supports the organization's strategic direction and programming priorities. She oversees the programs and conferences team responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing high-quality content for a diverse membership. Tuly also leads the content development for SCG's most prominent events, including the Public Policy and Annual Conferences. She also identifies collaborative partnerships and oversees the evaluation of all SCG programs and activities.
In addition to her leadership in Southern California, Tuly also advises organizations in their conference planning, bringing her deep understanding of emerging themes in philanthropy to partners across the country. Tuly has served on national conference committees for the Council on Foundations, Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees, and United Philanthropy Forum. Additionally, Tuly spearheaded SCG's LA County Child Welfare Collaborative, which played a crucial role in creating LA County's Center for Strategic Public-Private Partnerships.
Tuly has over ten years of experience working in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors. Before joining SCG, she worked at Silicon Valley Community Foundation as a grantmaking associate and liaison to grantees and other community foundation stakeholders, coordinating convenings with foundation clients, staff, and community partners. Prior to the merger of the two-parent foundations, she joined Peninsula Community Foundation as Program Associate for the community programs department. She managed the day-to-day operations of the Peninsula Nonprofit Center. Tuly earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from California State University at Hayward and an M.P.A. from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont.
