Marissa supports the cultivation, securing, and stewardship of SoCal Grantmakers grants and fiscal sponsorships for the Membership & Sustainability team and is responsible for data management, logistics, projects, and administrative duties.
Marissa has 15 years of combined experience working in the nonprofit, government, and philanthropy sectors. Before joining SCG in 2023, Marissa served as a Grants Specialist at California Community Foundation, where she supported the administration of all foundation grants, and worked as a Grant Writer at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, where she secured funding for home preservation, neighborhood revitalization, and disaster recovery efforts.
Marissa received her B.S. in Public Administration with an emphasis on Administrative Management from the College of Business Administration and Public Policy at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She holds certificates from Institute for Strategic Funding Development and The Nonprofit Partnership in Grantwriting.
