Yessica M. Avila Barojas manages the digital marketing of SCG's programming and special projects as part of SCG's efforts to build communities and advance the philanthropic field. Yessica also serves as a strategist in the planning and execution of marketing plans for Philanthropy CA programs. Yessica acts as the primary community manager for SCG's social media platforms and lead designer of digital graphics.
Prior to joining SCG, Yessica was a Communication and Program Coordinator at the Regional Arts & Culture Council, an independent nonprofit supporting the creative economy in greater Portland. Yessica was responsible for the organization's digital strategies, social media content, website, and email marketing. Yessica has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is completing her master's degree in Chicana/o and Latino/a Studies at California State University, Los Angeles. She is passionate about the arts and deeply interested in immigration issues and the LGBTQ+ community.
