Cristina is the Director for the Veteran Peer Teams Network at Southern California Grantmakers. As the program lead for Los Angeles County’s largest investment in veteran programing & services in the last 50 years, Cristina oversees the implementation of a Veteran Peer Access Network that connects the 320,000 veterans and their families across the county to critical resources. Cristina brings a wealth of experience to her role. With 24 years of Military service, she retired as a First Sergeant in 2020 as the State Diversity & Inclusion Liaison for the California Army National Guard.
Cristina is a graduate of the University of Phoenix, earning a Bachelors's in Business with a minor in marketing. She is passionate about helping veterans like herself to transition all the way home; wherever that may be. Most importantly, she is a proud Mexican-American mother of an ambitious son who currently attends Los Angeles Mission College.
