SCG is thrilled to announce that our signature program, Fundamentals of Effective Grantmaking, is now open for registration! For nearly two decades, Fundamentals has provided unparalleled service and professional development to grantmakers across California. This year, our virtual course will be held weekly from October to November and includes a Virtual Visit with A Grantmaker — an opportunity for participants to learn how foundations conduct grantmaking in the workplace.
We are excited to continue delivering this content-rich, introductory training to foundation staff and trustees with less than two years of experience in the field and to seasoned philanthropic professionals looking to revisit their core grantmaking competencies. Participants will learn essential grantmaking skills, gain new connections, and practice applying these lessons in the workplace.
Fundamentals is an intimate learning community that requires participants to be present and fully engaged in every lesson. For this reason, space is limited. At the request of our facilitators, session recordings will not be made available. Additionally, to avoid scheduling conflicts, participants are encouraged to make note of these important session dates on their calendars.
Due to high demand, we encourage grantmakers to register before the deadline on Friday, October 1, 2021.
