SoCal Grantmakers reached an incredible milestone this year — in 2023, we celebrate our 50th anniversary!
It’s surreal. Our once tiny regional organization has stood the test of time; we are half a century old and more impactful than ever. In the last decade alone, we have redefined and expanded our role as a philanthropy-serving organization to convene, inform, mobilize, and advocate with all of you — our members and partners — for a more equitable world.
We’ve significantly increased the breadth of our premier programming and learning opportunities in just a few years. We’ve also broken new ground by forging statewide alliances, serving as a fiscal sponsor for various transformative projects, convening a plethora of funder groups, collaboratives, and exchanges, and innovating in so many other ways.
Today, SCG is part of a power-building, systems change movement.
We are so grateful to all of you who view us as an essential player in defining philanthropy’s next chapter. Above all, we are proud to be your trusted partner as you continue to scale your impact and transform our region.
Moving forward, we commit to continue working closely with all of you to adapt to a rapidly changing sector and world and solve our region’s most complex challenges strategically and equitably. As we look ahead to the next 50 years, we know there is so much more our network can accomplish. The only limit is our imaginations.
