This February 28 - March 1, join us, in person in Washington, D.C. to exchange ideas about the most pressing environmental policy issues of our time. As the federal agenda is set for 2023, this convening is designed to support members in building cross-movement analyses and to strengthen the sector’s response to the political and regulatory headwinds facing people and planet.
The Federal Policy Briefing is a focused, member strategy space that balances multinational, regional, and local agendas on the environment with federal policy opportunities. The Briefing will provide funders with timely opportunities to network, learn, and develop initiatives across a spectrum of environmental issues, geographies, and species. This year’s convening is an especially pivotal opportunity for environmental grantmakers to connect with elected, movement and agency leaders post-leadership succession.
EGA is setting the stage for funder-only discussions to support your ideation, collaboration, and high-level information processing. Movement leaders, analysts, and democracy-focused frontline analysis will deepen the context of the Briefing. You are welcome to fill in your knowledge gaps and increase your view of the solutions on offer. Together, we will develop complementary and cutting-edge sector analyses of philanthropy's role in curbing the grave impacts of the climate crisis. EGA values your presence and we hope that you will co-create the conditions for a more connected environmental movement.
We look forward to reuniting as a community and are committed to health and safety as a feature of our convening. We received positive feedback from our members about our COVID-19 protocols during the Fall Retreat and will implement similar safety guidelines. We commit to holding community standards that limit the spread of COVID-19, including daily on-site testing, relevant masking requirements, and public protocols for gatherings. For more details, please refer to our event health & safety guidelines.
