The last two years have been incredibly taxing on our country’s healthcare workforce, elevating pre-pandemic issues to a crisis level. Clinics are struggling to hire, develop and retain staff, and workers are facing burnout, low pay, and the mental health repercussions that come after two years on the frontlines. Federal funding is providing some immediate relief, but additional support is necessary, along with a longer-term strategy to support the field and diversify the workforce. Join SCG’s Health Funders Group to better understand the landscape of healthcare workforce needs at this time. We’ll map out the work attendees are currently engaged in, and highlight ways that philanthropy can build on existing state and federal efforts to ensure a comprehensive response.
The SCG Health Funders Group convenes multiple times a year to explore emerging issues in healthcare and health policy through an intersectional approach. The group hosts topic-based and peer-to-peer learning sessions. These facilitated sessions will provide a forum for updates on critical issues, highlights of promising programs, and opportunities for collaboration.
