The communities of South Los Angeles (SOLA) and Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) were disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 over the past two years of the pandemic. As the pandemic unfolded key community-driven collaboratives came together to meet their residents’ needs. Join the California Community Foundation, the Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine at UCLA, COVID-19 Vaccine Equity and Access Initiative, Community Response System of South Los Angeles (CRSSLA), & SELA Collaborative to:
- Spotlight community networks and leadership that led COVID-19 crisis responses in South LA and Southeast LA.
- Be proactive in addressing South LA and Southeast LA communities' needs.
- Advocate to policymakers to start/center with these South LA and Southeast LA community networks and leadership in their response and recovery efforts.
Our virtual convening will highlight the effective strategies implemented by our collaboratives to address the inequities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
