Event Description
In a time of great uncertainty, stress and rapid change, it is essential to take the time to pause and process what our bodies are experiencing. We must hold self-compassion as we cannot continue to show up for our communities and sustain the work, if we ourselves are not well.
One tool that we can use to aid in our well-being is the breathwork technique; using the power of the breath to ground our bodies and minds. Focusing on breathing exercises increases our sense of awareness, sense of connection and begins the process of releasing energy that does not serve the body. This skill can be useful to ground us in both our personal and professional lives.
Join Southern California Grantmakers and Mandar Apte, Founder & Executive Director of Cities4Peace foran introductory session on Mindful Leadership to learn more about how SKY breath-based meditation tools and frameworks can be used to support your mental health & resilience.
