Accessibility & Accommodations for People with Disabilities
SoCal Grantmakers strives to make our signature events as accessible as possible. Specific accessibility efforts for this year's Annual Conference are detailed below.
We will provide closed captioning and American Sign Language interpretation during the conference plenary sessions. If you'd like to request ASL or closed captioning for a breakout session, please contact our programs team so that we can accommodate the request. On the day of the conference, you can also visit the registration desk to be connected to one of our designated Accessibility Coordinators.
If you have any other accommodation requests, please contact us by August 30, 2024, at (213) 680-8866 or by sending us an email at programsrsvp@socalgrantmakers.org with the subject line "Accommodation Request." An SCG staff member will be in touch to discuss your specific needs.
Duty to Self-Monitor and Care for Others
In line with SCG's values of equity and community, we respectfully ask attendees to prioritize the collective health and well-being of all participants when deciding to attend SCG events. We ask that you not attend if you become ill or exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. SCG reserves the right to refuse entry to any participants who exhibit symptoms of illness.
We strongly encourage attendees to self-administer a rapid test the morning of the event and encourage mask-wearing for any attendees for whom that is most comfortable. Masks and rapid tests will be available at the registration desk upon request during our conference. Out of respect for each individual's varying comfort level, please refrain from hugs or handshakes without explicit consent.
We will strive to safeguard the health and safety of all those involved in SCG events but cannot guarantee that attendees and participants will not be exposed to, or become sick from exposure to, COVID-19 or its variants. We thank you for your help in keeping our community safe.
