SCG's Editorial Hub: Writing & Contributing Articles
SoCal Grantmakers (SCG) aspires to advance narrative change efforts within the philanthropic sector by elevating bold and courageous perspectives from our staff, membership, and community partners. Together, we can contest the dominant narratives that have been normalized, promote ideas and practices that shift power, and amplify new voices and possibilities in our cultural landscape.
To create a new narrative ecosystem, SCG is proud to offer our entire network the opportunity to contribute to our Stories & Ideas page, our editorial homepage that houses all of our Op-Eds, Leader Spotlights, President's Blogs, and much more. Currently, we are primarily seeking SCG members and partners to contribute Opinion Pieces (Op-Eds) to foster critical dialogue within our sector and build a community of writers in our network.
As a potential writer for SCG, we would like to provide you with the resources and information you need to contribute to a compelling and thoughtful article. In this Editorial Hub, you will find our Editorial Principles to help you write a piece that aligns with SCG's mission, vision, and values; our Submission Guidelines that outline the technical components for writing and submitting an article; and our Member Op-Eds which showcase a wide range of written contributions from our network.
If you have questions regarding SCG's Editorial Hub or would like to pitch an article idea, don't hesitate to reach out to Eddy Gonzalez, Director of Storytelling at SCG, at eddy@socalgrantmakers.org.
