SCG's Public Policy Team is excited to launch our new democracy series, Paving Pathways for Democracy Funding. Our series aims to elevate the importance of supporting a healthy democracy through change. The systemic issues that foundations aim to remedy play a part in undermining democracy in California and across the country. We believe that in order to support the communities we serve and create a diverse and representative government, we must continue expanding philanthropy's definition and commitment to democracy funding. This series will engage funders interested in incorporating democracy funding aligned with their missions, looking to grow their ongoing democracy efforts, or learn how to begin this work within their foundations. We invite you to join these four sessions exploring different ways funders can engage with democracy work, beyond what may typically come to mind.
